The Port & Company PC55 Core Blend tee is made of a cotton-polyester blend with 50% cotton and 50% polyester. The cotton-poly t-shirt is sustainable as it uses 5% recycled polyester from plastic bottles in the blend. In terms of comfort and feel, both the PC54 and PC55 offer almost the same level of softness and comfort. You might notice a slight difference when wearing PC54 colors with 100% cotton composition. Those colors are slightly softer due to being full cotton.

Though the material quality for both t-shirts is similar, Hanes is a brand known for their expertise and quality in construction. Considering the heavier weight, higher quality construction, and durability of the 5250, it’s simply the better option for screen printing. But the PC54 isn’t far behind either. The 100% cotton PC54 colors are available at lower per-unit prices and color choices than the Hanes 5250. So if you are screen printing large volumes, the PC54 is an overall better investment.
